On 15th August Narendra Modi, from the Red Fort, announced that he is going to do away with the old Soviet style central planning model so he will replace the Indian Planning Commission with some other new Institution. 1. All hot air and nothing else. But unfortunately, that has propelled him to the post of PM and he is likely to rule for at least 5 more years. The sale of public sector shares and subsequent infusion of 43000 crores for so called development into the economy is likely to make the people close to the Government very happy and prosperous. But for the rest of us, it will just add to the inflation. What steps would you suggest to safeguard against erosion of one's own wealth? Investment into Gold or shares or any other avenue?
